Examination of a Newborn with Necrotizing Enterocolitis According to Neuman Systems Model

The aim of the study is to evaluate the nursing care that should be applied in newborns diagnosed with Necrotizing Enterocolitis with Neuman Systems Model approach and NANDA nursing diagnoses. In the first phase of the nursing process, data about the patient were collected. The stressors perceived by the patient, the stressors perceived by the nurse and the patient were determined and the data were summarized. Following the collection of the data, five different nursing diagnoses were determined according to the NANDA diagnosis, and the expected patient outcomes, interventions and nursing diagnosis results were determined for each nursing diagnosis. In this case report, there is a nursing care plan for solving the present and possible problems of a newborn with necrotizing enterocolitis, which is frequently seen in premature infants. The use of Neuman Systems Model in nursing provides a planned nursing care.

Çalışmanın amacı Nekrotizan Enterokolit tanılı yenidoğanlarda uygulanması gereken hemşirelik bakımının Neuman Sistemler Modeli yaklaşımı ve NANDA tanıları ile ele alınmasıdır. Hemşirelik sürecinin ilk aşamasında hastaya ilişkin veriler toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler ile hastaya ait veriler, hastanın algıladığı stresörler, hemşirenin hastayla ilgili algıladığı stresörler belirlenmiş ve veriler özetlenmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasının ardından olguya NANDA tanıları doğrultusunda beş farklı hemşirelik tanısı konulmuş, her bir hemşirelik tanısı için beklenen hasta sonuçları, girişimler ve hemşirelik tanısı sonuçları belirlenmiştir. Bu olgu sunumunda, özellikle prematürelerde sıklıkla görülen Nekrotizan Enterokolit tanısı almış bir yenidoğanın mevcut ve olası sorunlarının çözülmesine ilişkin hemşirelik bakım planı yer almaktadır. Neuman Sistemler Modeli’nin hemşirelik bakımında kullanılması olguya planlı bir hemşirelik bakımı sunulmasını sağlar.
