The Importance of Marıne Base Morphology and Surface Structures in the Selection of Fish Farms in Ildır And Gulluk GulfTarık İlhan1, Ezgi Talas1, Barış Akçalı2, Muhammet Duman11D.E.Ü Deniz Bilimleri ve Teknolojisi Enstitüsü, Deniz Jeolojisi ve Jeofiziği2D.E.Ü Deniz Bilimleri ve Teknolojisi Enstitüsü, Canlı Deniz Kaynakları Between 2013 and 2015, D.E.U was established as an Institute of Marine Sciences and Technology in the scope of "Project for Establishing Environmentally Friendly Sustainable Environment Friendly Fish Farms System" organized by T.C Ministry of Environment and Urbanism. The works were carried out in the areas where fish farms exist in Ildır and Gulluk gulfs. The most important aim of the study is to make estimations about the dynamics of the farm areas based on the literature information and the morphological characteristics of the marine basin where the fish farms in both gulfs are located and to obtain information about the transport and storage areas of the fine material in the marine environment. Within this scope, batimetric, shallow seismic and sedimantological investigations were carried out in the areas with R / V K.Piri Reis and Dokuz Eylül-1 research vessels for 2 years. In the bathymetric findings, the depths of the field studied for Ildır Bay are 20-69 m and 44-53 m for Güllük Gulf. In seismic finds, details of the Holocene basement sediment strata of both gulfs were reached. The most important of these results is that the sedimentation rate in Güllük Gulf is higher than that of Ildır Gulf. At the end of this study, which is rarely encountered in our country until today, it is clear that the need to establish a model valid for such areas together with other disciplines (chemistry, biology and physical oceanography etc.), not just geologically, has been clarified. Thanks to this model, marine habitat map for these areas will be clearly shown if similar studies are done in fish farms in other places in our country. In this way, positive and negative deductions will be provided in choosing the location of the planned fish farms.
