Yet, dissections in other arterial beds may be a feature of this disease. Aortocervical and spontaneous coronary artery dissections have been reported in such a setting. The present report discusses aspects of the pathophysiology of the arterial complications of BAV disease as well as how this disease process could potentially involve the coronary arteries and lead to complications, specifically spontaneous dissection.
